Portable Gluten Free Snacks

Note: GF = gluten free

  • Toppings for veggie, GF crackers, GF rice cakes, GF chips:
    hummus, homemade bean dip, GF salsa, natural peanut butter, cream cheese
  • Veggies dipped in GF salad dressing
  • Trail Mix: dried fruit (avoid dates - likely rolled in oat flour), plain nuts, plain seeds (avoid added seasonings or flavorings, such as soy sauce)
  • Natural peanut butter (or GF cream cheese) rolled in crushed plain nuts and raisins (high fat and decadent!)
  • Fresh fruit
  • Canned fruit cups
  • Applesauce
  • GF cottage cheese and fruit
  • Fruit smoothies
  • Yogurt (Avoid yogurt with gluten-based mix-ins, such as cookie crumbs, granola, etc. Question flavored and fruited yogurt)
  • Hard boiled eggs
  • Popcorn - air popped
  • GF waffle topped with peanut butter, honey and cinnamon OR cream cheese and jelly
  • Dried cereal (GF) mixed with dried fruit (avoid dates - likely rolled in oat flour)
  • Kozy Shack ® pudding
  • Pure corn tortilla wrap with refried beans, rice, salsa, cheese, etc
  • Tuna in a pouch (caution if tuna contains unidentified HVP [hydrolyzed vegetable protein], TVP [texturized vegetable protein], HPP [hydrolyzed plant protein], fillers made from wheat starch or other gluten-based ingredients)
  • Omega Smart ® bars
  • Alpsnack ® bars
  • Ener-G ® granola bars
  • Govinda bars ®
  • Boost ®/ Ensure ® pudding
  • Boost ®/Ensure ® liquid beverage (Note: Boost chocolate malt is NOT gluten free.)
  • Carnation Instant Breakfast with milk (except chocolate malt flavor)
