Educating Patients

I strongly believe, as a gastroenterologist and a physician in the community, that it is not enough to only treat patients; It is just as important to educate them and the community, on healthy digestion as well as digestive disorders. I have found this to be so very important.

Education helps patients understand the disease process. Education explains ways that patients can help themselves. Knowledge empowers patients and helps to guide them. Patients learn why adopting a healthy lifestyle and appropriate dietary regimen helps in their well being. In the Patient Education section of this website you will find links to numerous topics regarding common intestinal diseases and the latest clinical research involving these diseases. Please explore the many articles under the catagorized menus that I have set up for you. Also, you may want to visit our Gallery section and take a endoscopic tour of the healthy intestinal tract or view endoscopic photos of various diseases as we see them through the endoscope.

Dr. Bhandari is the Principal Investigator with Delta Research Partners, an independent investigative research site in Northeast Louisiana. He is commited to conducting clinical trials with the highest standard of ethics to develop safe & beneficial treatment protocols.
